"Care Today - Character Tomorrow"

On November 3, 1941, 100 representative organizations from nine towns in Mississippi and Arkansas united to form the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries. The Junior Auxiliary of Meridian, MS was a Charter Chapter and, over 60 years later, continues to address pressing educational, health and social needs of children in our community.

Our membership consists of women who are energetic, caring and committed to serving the children of Lauderdale County through a variety of projects. Currently, JA of Meridian provides financial and volunteer assistance to 10 diverse service projects. Each active member dedicates a minimum of 65 hours per year to these endeavors.
